Sleaford Mods to play Fontaines D.C. slot at Latitude Festival
Bastille, Bombay Bicycle Club, Wolf Alice, and the Chemical Brothers will headline the July 22-25 festival, which is the UK's first major music festival after COVID restrictions were lifted.
Following Fontaines D.C.'s cancellation of their Latitude Festival set, Nottingham musical duo Sleaford Mods have announced that they will be stepping in last minute to replace them during their Saturday night slot.
The Dublin post-punk band announced their cancellation following the positive COVID diagnosis of one of the band members. In addition to canceling their Latitude set, they also cancelled their show at Engine Shed in Lincoln tonight, July 22. Members of the band and crew are now in self-isolation.
Sleaford Mods announced their last-minute replacement in a tweet, wishing the "good people" of Fontaines D.C. "a speedy return."
"Mad announcement," the duo wrote on Twitter. "You need to come witness the male models as we step out for the first time in 18 months."
