The artist urges fans on social media to listen to the album all the way through.
Skrillex has surprise-released the new album Fuck U Skrillex You Think Ur Andy Warhol But Ur Not!! <3.
The 34 tracks include features from artists like 100 Gecs’ Dylan Brady, Starrah, Wuki and Boys Noize. The album will be his last release for Atlantic Records.
“I’ve never felt more inspired and in lockstep with my intentions as an artist,” he wrote last year on X. “As im nearing completion of my next work and my final project for Atlantic records I can’t help but feel very existential about it all. Im thrilled to get this out and focus on more release in 25 as an ‘independent’ artist. But ‘independent’ is such a strange term because I still depend on my team as well as all the other creatives and executors to do what I do.”
News of the release spread after Skrillex previewed songs from the album during the Ultra Music Festival last Saturday. The performance marked his first mainstage set in a decade. Yesterday, he sent the full album to his email list under the subject “FUS – FULL Album.” The artist also held a listening event on Monday in Miami at Ice Palace Studios.
“Thank you to all my friends who took part in creating this moment,” he wrote on Instagram. “Please listen from start to finish.”
