Sister Bliss, Faithless DJ, To Play Dublin
October show scheduled after success of band's 20th anniversary album
Sister Bliss, the DJ behind the electronica juggernaut Faithless, is set to play the Academy in Dublin this October.
Faithless formed in 1995, the joint effort of Bliss, frontman Maxi Jazz and producer Rollo Armstrong. The band soon established itself as a worldwide success with six top 10 singles and over 15 million record sales to date. To celebrate their 20th anniversary last year, the band produced 'Faithless 2.0', a album of remixes of their material from big names in electronic music such as Avicii, Claptone and Purple Disco Machine. The album went straight to No. 1.
As well as playing to fans around the world, Bliss is also a record producer with her own label. Junkdog Records is committed to supporting upcoming alternative acts. She also has a radio show, 'Sister Bliss in Session', which is syndicated in 40 countries.
Bliss' show is on October 24 at 11pm. Tickets are €25.40, including booking fee, and go on sale from Ticketmaster from August 26 onwards.
