Sin é: Jeff Buckley’s manager to host Q&A in Dublin
The behind-the-scenes look into Buckley's life and music comes to the Olympia.
Dave Lory is the author of From Hallelujah to the Last Goodbye, which chronicles his days managing the iconic rock and roll artist. Buckley died by drowning in 1997, when he was about to begin working on a follow-up album to the critically acclaimed Grace.
In the book, Lory delves into territory uncharted before with fans, offering intimate details of his working relationship with Buckley, right from the release of his EP Live at Sin-é (recorded at at a now defunct Irish café/bar in New York’s East Village) to the next four years of success that led up to his tragic and untimely death.
The event takes place in the Olympia on September 17, where fans will be able to participate in a one and a half hour dialogue about the revered artist. Tickets, from €28.90, are on sale Friday at 9am from MCD.ie.
