Saint Sister announce first gig in three years
Gemma Hayes will mark the 25th anniversary of Night on My Side with a major performance.
The National Concert Hall has announced a series of 2026 shows celebrating women in music.
The performances will be led by Saint Sister’s first concert together in three years on March 6, and followed by a landmark show from Gemma Hayes, who will perform her Mercury-nominated debut Night on My Side in full on May 12. Historian Mary Beard will also appear at the venue on October 15.
Saint Sister will revisit their 2021 album Where I Should End, accompanied by members of Crash Ensemble, who featured prominently on the record.
The performance brings the duo, Morgana MacIntyre and Gemma Doherty, back to the stage after pursuing individual projects since 2022. The pair, known for their close-knit harmonies and harp arrangements, will perform an intimate set with vocals, harp and strings.
Gemma Hayes’ appearance marks 25 years since the release of Night on My Side, her 2002 debut that secured her a Mercury Prize nomination. Her recent sixth album Blind Faith (2024), featuring collaborations with Lisa Hannigan and Paul Noonan, was widely praised as a major creative return.
Mary Beard rounds out the programme with More Secrets of Ancient Rome, a new live event exploring untold stories of Roman life and drawing contemporary parallels with modern politics. The appearance follows her sold-out 2025 tour.
Tickets for all three events will go on sale Friday, December 12 at 10am.
