Ryan Adams accused of 'acting the tit' on UK tour

Ryan Adams is having one or two, er, difficulties at the moment which look like scuppering a proposed return trip to Ireland.

The most immediate problem is the tumble off stage last week at the Liverpool Royal Court which left him with a broken arm.

Says an eyewitnnes: "It was about two-thirds of the way through the show, Ryan was playing one minute and then he suddenly disappeared from view and there was a sickening thud. Although he tried to continue, it soon became clear he was badly injured and the houselights went up signaling the end of the show."

The accident came just two days after a less than successful appearance on London alternative music station, XFM, who accuse him of "Generally acting like a tit."

Expands Music:Response presenter Ian Camfield: "He was the biggest prima donna I've ever met. Coldplay, Radiohead, Oasis, you name it they've been in, but I've never seen anything like this."

After abandoning his live session, an incoherent Adams told listeners: "I don't have any hobbies other than writing music, taking loads of drugs and reading. If it's about cash and fame, then that's a retarded thing to want if ultimately everyone is going to fucking die. You're going to die by yourself. I don't know why the money you have or the people you fuck is going to do anything for you anyway."
