Rough Trade's Hal to play intimate Belfast gig.
Dublin four- piece, Hal, will be joined by The Embers and Fortune Cookie DJs for a cozy night of live pop/ folk preceding their first release.
As they were recently signed to Rough Trade Records and have just been tipped 'ones to watch' by NME, this may be one of their last really small gigs for a while. It takes place on January 21, in Auntie Annies, Dublin Road, Belfast.
Auntie Annies often host great names for their mid- week slots, and with two bands and DJs for five pounds this gig should also be a treat. Citing Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac and Phil Spector as major influences, Hal's debut release should be out by March 2004.
