Roger Woolman for new rock photography TV series
Hot Press lensman Roger Woolman is to appear in a new television series called The Art of Rock
hotpress.com has learned that Channel 4 is to begin pre-production on a rock photography series called The Art of Rock.
The series will feature six programmes, with each focussing on a particular genre and the leading photographer of that generation.
Some of the big name snappers that have been approached to take part in the series include Gered Mankowitz, Jill Fermanovsky, Bob Gruen, Annie Liebowitz, Mick Rock and Hot Press' own Roger Woolman.
With the main part of Woolman's programme to be shot in Dublin, it is expected to include interviews wih the photographer and guest artists, as well as a photo session with one of the featured artists.
Shooting on this series is scheduled to begin in September and air in the UK and Ireland next year. Co-produced by American music company Kutur, the series is set to be followedby an extended DVD box set of the series, incorporating a soft back book of photographs.
