Ricky Gervais calls show in Dublin "Best gig of the tour"
The actor, writer, and comedian was charmed by the audience at Dublin's 3Arena Saturday night. The sold-out gig was Gervais's biggest Irish audience to date, with 9,000 people packed into the arena.
In a tweet after the show, the comic praised the crowd, saying, "Dublin has done it again. Jumped straight to the top of the leader board for best gig of the tour! Cheers."
The Humanity Tour is the BAFTA winner's first stand-up tour in seven years. Prior to that, he had been kept busy with the release of his film David Brent: Life On The Road, the Netflix original Special Correspondents, and hosting the Golden Globes for his fourth time. He is perhaps best known for his leading roles on BBC's The Office and HBO's Extras.
