Richter Collective sign And So I Watch You From Afar
They're also streaming the new Hands Up Who Wants To Die album.
The Richter Collective have announced the signing of Hot Press faves And So I Watch You From Afar.
The Belfast instru-mentalists – the hyphen is there for a reason! – are currently applying the finishing touches to a new album, which will be out in May, and preceded next week by a free single.
Meanwhile, the Irish independent label has made the debut Hands Up Who Wants To Die album available for Soundcloud streaming.
First impressions of Buffalo, buffalo, buffalo, Buffalo, buffalo? The post-rockery, death grunt vocals and penchant for primetime Pixies makes for some deliciously uneasy listening.
Recorded in a World War II German bomb shelter, it was produced and mixed by Highlander and mastered by Bob Weston of Shellac and Mission Of Burma fame.
The band give the collection its Cork launch tonight in The Quad where admission is free and Elk are support. Dublin fans can cop an earful on February 25 when they play The Mercantile with The Jimmy Cake, Melodica Deathship and Wizards Of Firetop Mountain. Admission is €10 or €12 if you want to take a copy of the album home with you.
