It's an all-seated affair in the Olympia.
Having already announced a show the following night in Belfast’s Ulster Hall, Richard Hawley pays an all-seated visit to the Dublin Olympia on October 22. Tickets priced £19.50 and €29 respectively go on sale on Friday July 24.
By then the former Pulp man will have unleashed what he describes as his “most honest, adult album yet”, Truelove’s Gutter.
“Some of the songs are personal, but a lot are observations on friends and people I know,” he explains. “Not in a nasty, cruel way. I’m just trying to understand people rather than judge them. That’s what I was aiming for on this album, just to be honest about the state of my heart.”
Standouts include ‘Open Up Your Door’ – “a warm-hearted plea for forgiveness following a lovers’ tiff – plus a sympathy shag too, if possible!”
