Tech Review: Technics DH1250 Headphones

Clinging to your cranium like a jet fighter headset, these headphones are designed to fill your brain with musical bliss. They’re a snug fit – lightweight and water resistant – and their silver and black style means you won’t look like a moron in this era of mammoth ear goggles. Ear buds would struggle to reproduce the sound of Technics. Treble and bass are crisper than the Tayto factory. There’s no distortion, even when you pump music at nuclear levels.
Technics is a spin off from Panasonic’s classic range of turntables (the first of which was released in 1972). Thus, these cans are equipped for DJ duty. Swing around one of the arms for single-side monitoring while spinning records. Regular music fans can plug into an iPhone, using the volume control on one of two packaged cords. There’s a longer coiled cord for dextrous DJ antics. The only turn off about Technics is the price: €199.
