REMEMBERING DOLORES: The new Cranberries single is a full-blooded rock 'n' roll affair
Listen to 'All Over Now' here!
The new Cranberries song, ‘All Over Now’, has received its simultaneous premiere on RTÉ 2fm and BBC Radio 2 where Tracy Clifford and Jeremy Vine did the respective honours.
The first taster from their In The End album, which follows on April 26, it’s a full-blooded rock ‘n’ roll affair with Noel in top chiming guitar form and Dolores’ vocals as swooping and soaring as ever.
The opening “Do you remember the night/ At a hotel in London” couplet has obvious resonance given last year’s tragic events.
The reaction from fans has been almost universally positive, albeit tinged with much sadness.
“This album is going to have so much meaning for me, I can already tell,” says Justin Smith. “Dolores' voice defines a lot of my character. God bless her and the band.”
“So grateful they had the strength to finish this,” adds DeAnna Lewis. “Probably the closure we all needed. Can't believe it's been a year.”
"This pain is too much for me," notes another fan. "It's been a year and still seems like it was yesterday that she left. This is so sad, can't stop the tears."
