Ranch Fest 2024 postponed due to "high volume of rainfall"
The headliners for Ranch Fest include Dan McCabe and Jenny Greene
The upcoming Ranch Fest in Tullaroan, Co. Kilkenny – originally scheduled to take place on May 4 and 5 – has been postponed, organisers announced over the weekend.
The festival is titled after 'The Ranch' – the nickname given to festival owner Michael Delaney’s home in the area. Across the two days, Ranch Fest was set to feature Jenny Greene, Dan McCabe, Emma J White, Sina Theil, Kevin Morrin & Abbeyfolk, Cleveland Mike & Swiss, and more.
In a statement posted to social media, Ranch Fest organisers announced that they had to postpone the festival "due to the recent high volume of rainfall" – revealing that "the pitch has been deemed not fit for set up by a health and safety engineer."
"To set up the festival without causing serious damage to the grounds would be impossible," the statement continues. "We are extremely sorry for any inconvenience caused, a new date will be announced in the coming days.
"We are excited to be an open-air festival held in Tullaroan, and took extra measures to provide a large white top marquee for the weekend. However, the weather damage to the site grounds in the last 3 months has unfortunately brought us to this decision. It is beyond our control & we hope you understand."
All tickets purchased will be valid for the new date – with an announcement expected soon.
