Queens of the Stone Age release new single 'Where the Goth Girls At?'

Queens of the Stone Age have released a new single, 'Where the Goth Girls At?' - the third track off their upcoming ninth studio album Perfecth.

Inspired by the nostalgia of Josh Homme's youth in a Palm Desert suburb, the song centers on themes of teenage love and the desire to impress others.

"Watching the goth girls working the counter at JCPenney and giving goth makeovers to the old ladies, that's when I knew the only place I want to be is where the goth girls at," Homme said. "Teenage love, ain't it grand?"

The music video for the song sees the American rock band reunite with 'Easy Street' directors Christopher Gross and Tony Wolski, and features comedian Steve Agee, dancer and artist Scarlett Kapella and singer and actress Lou Lou Safran - alongside the Queens band members.

"Against the backdrop of a deserted power plant, the goth girls command authority and self-assurance as they transform everyone they encounter into their ultimate form," reads the description.

The song follows previously released Perfecth songs, 'Insignificant Other' and 'Easy Street'.

Produced by Homme and band member Michael Shuman, Perfecth was "made in the spirit of Kintsugi" - the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by filling its cracks with gold - according to  the band.

"Every song sounds like it's from a different world," said Homme. "And that's on purpose, because it's trying to stitch together all these emotions revolving around love, lust, foolishness and the sort of wisdom that comes as a gift from all that."

Queens of the Stone Age resumed their North American stadium tour with Foo Fighters on September 15 and also recently announced a fall headline run in Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Singapore. They also shared news of a March 6, 2027 show at Mexico City's Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes with Interpol.
