PREMIERE: Irish garage-psych rockers The Savage Hearts share music video for new single 'Dead Letters'

The Savage Hearts have shared the music video for their new single 'Dead Letters', set to release this Friday, July 31.

Led by former The Strypes drummer and founding member Evan Walsh, The Savage Hearts have quickly established themselves as one of Ireland's most exciting emerging rock bands. Since emerging in 2024, the four-piece have scored five consecutive No. 1 singles on the Irish Downloads Chart and sold out every vinyl release to date.

Written by vocalist and guitarist Darragh Muldoon, 'Dead Letters' finds the band pairing driving garage rock riffs with a darker psychedelic edge. Exploring the frustration of searching for answers only to be met with silence, the track balances brooding introspection with the swagger and melodic hooks that have become hallmarks of The Savage Hearts' sound.

"Dead Letters' is a song about trying to improve your current situation, but getting nothing back from the people and things you thought might help," Muldoon said.

The single follows the release of the band's acclaimed debut EP, Radio Silence, which arrived in late 2025. Earlier this year, The Savage Hearts signed to UK independent label Blaggers Records, with work currently underway on their debut album.

Before launching The Savage Hearts, Walsh spent eight years with acclaimed Cavan rock band The Strypes, touring internationally and sharing stages with artists including Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters, Liam Gallagher, Paul Weller and Blur.
