Portugal. The Man announce Dublin show
Tickets will go on sale on September 26.
American rock band Portugal. The Man have announced a show at the National Stadium in Dublin on February 23, 2026.
In early June, the band released their new EP uLu Selects Vol #2 following the release of their single ‘V.I.S.’ earlier this year.
“I wrote this song after we finished our album Chris Black Changed My Life," said lead vocalist John Gourley. "Kyle (O’Quinn) and I were hanging at Sonic Ranch with Asa Taccone and our engineer Kennie Takahashi. We decided to write and record a song in one day, and it was 'V.I.S.'"
The band released another single, ‘Denali’, in September, which inspired the name of the tour.
“The tour is called Denali. It’s the name of a mountain, twenty-thousand feet high, 6 million years old,” said the band on Instagram. “Some things are bigger than the present, steadier than feelings: certain, defiant, unmovable, clear. Maybe—maybe— music is one of them too.”
First formed in 2004 in Alaska, Portugal. The Man has had a lengthy career, with nine albums and one Grammy Award for Best Pop/Duo Group Performance for their song ‘Feel it Still’ in 2017.
The band's distinctive name stems from their desire to create an alter ego, much like David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust. They chose "Portugal" to represent a singular national voice on the world stage, while "The Man" symbolises an individual figure, not tied to any specific member.
Tickets for their Dublin date will go on sale Friday, September 26 here.
