Pierce Turner announces Irish tour dates and new album Vinegar Hill
Irish singer-songwriter Pierce Turner will debut his new album at a Whelan's gig.
After a six months stay in New York, Pierce Turner returns to Ireland in September to premier his new album Vinegar Hill. The singer-songwriter announced four Irish tour dates, starting with a Whelan's gig on September 1.
Vinegar Hill is an album of Irish folk songs "folked up" by Pierce Turner. An urban New York rhythm section gives the popular songs a new feel.
The first single from the record, 'Monto', was released this month. It's a rendition of a Dublin classic about the city's one-time red-light district.
Vinegar Hill will be launched at Pierce Turner's gig at Dublin's Whelan's on September 1. Tickets are available for €25.
Check out other Irish tour dates below:
- September 13 - Tate House, Limerick
