Peggy Sue shares blissed-out new single
Peggy Sue deliver a garage rock anthem.
London-based duo Peggy Sue, made up of Katy Young & Rosa Slade, are back with their new album Vices, which is slated for release February 21st via French Exit. Today the band is sharing their first single & video from the record 'Motorcade.'
Taking queues from 90s garage rock, "Motorcade" is a break-up anthem that soars thanks to its stunning vocals and songwriting. The hook on the track is one of the catchiest of the year, yet the track retains its gritty tone. It's a great foreshadowing of what's to come on the rest of the record.
Speaking on the track Young said, 'Motorcade is about recognising the difference between what you need and what you want,” says Young “and asking for it as fast and loud as you like. I wrote it in the first wave of relief after a big break-up - it was probably the first moment that I was ready to be a bit mean and honest about it all.'

The magnificently nostalgic music video was directed by Catherine Repko.
