Pause launches Amy Winehouse 'You Know I'm No Good' Collection
Each art print comes with a certificate of authenticity, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Amy Winehouse Foundation.
Pause, a London-based creative studio, has launched a new series of one-of-one art prints created from frames of Amy Winehouse's music video for 'You Know I'm No Good'.
The company reframes music-video archives as collectable visual art. The platform lets users scroll through videos scene by scene and select any individual frame, which is then turned into an authenticated physical print. Pause has previously worked on similar releases with Aurora, Keane, Self Esteem and Jeff Goldblum.
Over the course of her career, Amy Winehouse sold over 30 million worldwide, starting with her 2003 debut record, Frank.
The album was nominated for the UK's Mercury Prize, while the song ‘Stronger Than Me’ won her the Ivor Novello Award for Best Contemporary Song from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors.
Her sophomore album, Back to Black (2006), went on to become one of the best-selling albums of all time, as well as one of the best-selling albums in UK music history. It also earned Winehouse five Grammy Awards, tying the then record for the most wins by a female artist during a single night.
“Music videos are some of the most creative, emotional, and culturally influential pieces of visual storytelling we have,” says Steven O’Connor, co-founder of Pause. “Yet too often they disappear into the digital ether after release.
"At Pause, our mission is to resurrect these moments as art, turning single frames from iconic videos into lasting, collectible artworks. "We want to give fans the opportunity to own a piece of music history, and in doing so, help people rediscover and celebrate the artistry of the music video.”
“Each print we create is a bridge between music, creativity, and the tangible world,” adds Wai Hung Young, co-founder of Pause. "The Amy Winehouse collection is one of our largest launches in the UK and a significant step in building a broader category where visual music culture is valued as art.”
Every piece in the Amy Winehouse 'You Know I’m No Good' video collection is one of a kind and authenticated, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Amy Winehouse Foundation.
Prints from this collection can be browsed and purchased on Pause.studio.
