The festival, organised by Irish artists, will take place on May 18 in the National Stadium Bar
This year, the Eurovision song contest is set to be held in Israel on May 18. This was a controversial decision as Israel continue to occupy Palestine and oppress its people through apartheid, land-theft and acts of brutal violence. In response to this, there have been a number of campaigns to boycott the song contest entirely to show solidarity. PalFest Ireland are providing an alternative to the song contest in the form of ‘Palestine - You’re a Vision’.
This diverse, positive and culturally rich arts festival encompasses a broad range of art forms, from music and theater to visual art and spoken word. Christy Moore, Charlie McGettigan, Frances Black and Donal Lunny are among the performers who will, no doubt, merit a dazzling douze points! Each event is promised to promote a cultural connection between Ireland and Palestine.
Tickets cost €15-€20 and are available through Take Your Seat.
