One Big Weekend line-up announced
Amongst the list of Derry-bound artists for the One Big Weekend in April are Kelis, Franz Ferdinand, The Streets, Ash, and Faithless
We told you it was going to be one hell of a party and, sure enough, April 24 and 25 finds some seriously happening acts taking part in Derry's One Big Weekend.
Saturday is dance day in Prehan Fields with Faithless, Pete Tong, Seb Fontaine, Judge Jules, Fergie, Armin Van Buuren, Agnelli & Nelson and Tall Paul all doing their respective botty-shaking things.
Things go live on Sunday with Kelis, Franz Ferdinand, The Streets, Avril Lavigne, Ash and hotly tipped newcomers Keane.
Enthuses Derry Mayor, Cllr Shaun Gallagher said "We are delighted to welcome BBC Music Live and One Big Weekend to the city. This is a unique event, which puts us centre-stage in a marathon programme music that will appeal to audiences across the region."
If you want to bag a pair of free tickets – 10,000 are available each day – get along to the One Big Weekend box-office in Derry's Guildhall Square at 5pm on Saturday April 10 for the dance event, and 8am on Friday April 16 for the rock side of things.
