Nora Forster, the wife of Sex Pistols and Public Image Ltd singer John Lydon, has passed away
With the death of John Lydon's wife Nora Forster, Public Image Ltd asks that fans be respectful as he mourns.
Sex Pistols and Public Image Ltd singer-songwriter John Lydon, well known as Johnny Rotten, has been the carer of his wife, Nora Forster, since she became diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2018.
Unfortunately, it was announced today that Forster has passed away at age 80. An actor, model, and music promoter, she helped financially support The Sex Pistols, The Slits, of whom her daughter, Ari Up, fronted, and The Clash.
The announcement came on John Lydon's official Twitter account earlier today, made with heartfelt condolences to the post-punk British singer.
John and Nora were married for nearly five decades. With the news, Public Image Ltd, Lydon's current band, asks that he be given space as he grieves.
2/2 Please respect John's grief and allow him space.
Rest in Peace Nora. Heart felt condolences to John from Rambo and all at PiL Official.
