The New Ravis respond to Ireland's mental health epidemic in fresh single
Their new song is a moving statement on the repercussions of overindulgence.
Irish synth-rock duo The New Ravis recently released their poignant song ‘Baby That's On You’. The track is the group's 3rd single since their inception.
According to the duo’s Eoghan Moylan, ‘The song is in response to the mental health issues that plague modern Ireland. The track aims to paint an image of a young person suffering from a depressive episode after a night of heavy drinking and incorporates themes of overindulgence and self-isolation. It is a scene familiar to many in Ireland, regardless of background.’ It’s an accessible tune that is bound to connect with many who have or know someone who has struggled with mental health. Musically, the track is an ethereal dream-pop jam, complete with crisp production.
‘Baby That’s On You’ is accompanied by a music video directed by Shane Serrano of Crude Media.
