KnockanStockan Festival signs off it's 10th birthday year with a reflective documentary release titled "Knockastockan: A Ten Year Story."
The Irish Independent Music Festival is taking a break in 2017. With a year off the crew are focusing on various adventures and projects. "A Ten Year Story" will be directed by Luke Sweetman of Little Beast Films and will take a brief but beautiful look at what the festival has meant to some of the faithful crew, old and new.
Speaking about the documentary, Sweetman said: "KnockanStockan has been a part of my life on and off for 10 years, about 5 years ago we (Little Beast) went down and shot our first videos at KS. We do a lot of music related work including filming other festivals and KnockanStockan is unique. We all have some understanding of the pros and cons of large musical events; money is the goal and music is not always at the forefront. The one thing that I can say with complete confidence is that the organisers and volunteers who make KnockanStockan happen to have a deep and passionate love of music, and I think this love is embraced and shared by the audience that attends."

Fear not, even though KnockanStockan the festival will not be happening next year, the people involved will still be working hard to bring you music in all its forms, and the festival will be back in 2018 with bells on.
