Young traditional musicians aged 18–23 can now apply for a new, fully-funded residential bursary for the Summer School of Traditional Music.
The summer programme - taking place this summer from July 28 to August 1 - will be part of this year's Belfast TradFest and is open to all musicians living on the island of Ireland.
The bursary scheme will cover accommodation, meals and full access to the festival’s five-day programme. Delivered in partnership with Ulster University, it will be held at their Belfast campus.
Confirmed tutors include: Kevin Burke, Catriona McKay, Iarla Ó Lionáird, Cathy Jordan, Stephanie Keane, Brìghde Chaimbeul, Chris Stout, Louise Mulcahy, Mary Bergin, John Doyle, Zoë Conway, Caitlín Nic Gabhann and Ronán Eastwood.
The summer school is open to all levels and offers a flexible schedule allowing students to try different instruments, traditions and styles.

The bursary aims to support participation from all 32 counties and remove financial barriers.
Belfast TradFest runs from 27 July to 3 August and features concerts, céilís, a session trail, and cultural events.
