Netflix confirm Juventus documentary series
We'll be getting a close-up look at the Old Lady in the New Year.
Calcio fans will be delighted to hear that Netflix has been given unprecedented access to the Juventus team and management for a new four-part documentary series, which will air globally next year.
“Fans and supporters will feel closer than ever not only to some of the greatest footballers in history but also to the club that has won six straight league titles,” we’re told. “Juventus FC will give audiences a profound understanding of the players, the coaches and management on a deeply personal level that we expect will be groundbreaking.
“Following on the production of other series in Europe, including Suburra and the upcoming Dark, the Juventus FC docuseries will continue Netflix’s investment in international and Italian content."
Adds Juve Revenue Officer, Federico Palomba: “It’s a source of pride that Juventus is the first football club to be the subject of a Netflix Original Documentary. Collaborations of this kind confirm our passion for innovation and being, in every sense, a sport entertainment brand. In this way, we are determined to reach fans across the world and millions of Netflix users, who thanks to this docuseries can get to know Juventus from every angle.”
