MCD rules out second Coldplay concert
Demand and hopes were high, but MCD boss Denis Desmond has ruled out a second Coldplay gig at Croke Park next July.
Around 80,000 tickets sold out in less than an hour for the Croke Park show on July 8, leaving thousands of Coldplay fans disappointed.
Lead singer Chris Martin was also hoping for a second gig as the band have scheduled additional gigs in Cardiff, Brussels, Paris, Milan and Frankfurt, but Mr. Desmond ruled out the possibility this morning.
"There won't be a second Coldplay gig in Dublin. They don't have the time. The band is playing only 15 gigs in Europe next Summer and only two in the UK", he said.
Tickets are currently selling at prices as high as €800 on the Ticketmaster-owned Seatwave website, which allows third parties to sell on tickets.
