Born in Bristol, Bruschini joined the group in the 1990s.
Alongside his performances in several bands, he produced alternative rock band Strangelove's self titled LP in 1997. He also played the guitar for Jane Taylor's track ‘Blowing This Candle Out’, released in 2005.
Bruschini anounced that he had been suffering from lung cancer on social media in July, adding that several specialists had wished him "good luck".
"Had a great life, seen the world many many times, met lots of wonderful people, but the door is closing, think I will write a book," wrote the late musician.
