Martha Wainwright announces Vicar Street date
Fresh from the release of her new album Goodnight City, Martha Wainwright has today announced that she will be performing a headline show at Vicar St next January.
Goodnight City returns to the rawness of Martha's first release, Martha Wainwright, and includes songs written by the singer herself, as well as songs written by notable artists to highlight her incredible voice. These include songs written by her friends and other great songwriters such as Beth Orton, Glen Hansard, Martha's brother Rufus Wainwright, Michael Ondaatje, and Merrill Garbus of tUnE-yArDs.
Goodnight City was produced by Thomas Bartlett (Sufjan Stevens, Glen Hansard) and Brad Albetta (Angus and Julia Stone, Teddy Thompson) and was recorded in Montreal, where Martha and her husband have resided for the last couple of years with their two children.
Martha will play Vicar St on January 17 2017. Tickets priced €28 go on sale this Monday 21st November at 9am through ticketmaster.ie & usual outlets nationwide.
