The rising American country-star will play at The Button Factory early next year.
After failing to find a break while gigging in Nashville, Margo and her husband sold everything they owned to fund the recording of Midwest Farmers Daughter at the legendary Sun Studio on Memphis. Once again, Nashville failed to take notice of this extraordinary talent until Jack White’s Third Man Records stepped in to make Margo their first ever country signing. Demanding attention with her extraordinary vocal control and candid and introspective song-writing, Margo’s debut album draws on her life experiences to date, chronicling hardship, heartache, loss, and love.
Margo’s record went on to become one of the stand-out country albums of 2016. Receiving wide critical acclaim upon its release earlier this year, the record propelled Margo to an international spotlight. The video for her song ‘Hands Of Time’ was filmed across several locations in Margo’s hometown of Aledo, Illinois, directed by Ben Chappell (Arctic Monkeys).
Margo Price will play at The Button Factory on January 22. Tickets priced €23 go on sale Friday 4th November at 10am through ticketmaster.ie & usual outlets nationwide.
