Marcel's Bar open new music club specialising in Gypsy Jazz

Gypsy Jazz is an exciting and unique style of jazz music often said to have been started by guitarist Jean” Django Reinhardt” in the 1930s. When it first emerged, Gypsy Jazz (also known as gypsy swing or hot club jazz) was vagabond music and was born on the move, thus the name. Due to the musician’s lives as trailblazers, many various and seemingly dissimilar forms came together to create something new while embracing traditional forms of music.
