See Mannequin Pussy's post below
Mannequin Pussy have cancelled their gigs in Dublin (August 18 in Whelan's and August 19 in The Button Factory,) and Cork (August 20 in Cyprus Avenue), due to a death in the family.
Missy Dabice shared a statement on the Mannequin Pussy Instagram, where she spoke directly to the Dublin and Cork fans.
"I am so unbelievably sorry to have to announce the sudden and of our two shows in Dublin and one in Cork," read the statement.
"A family emergency has happened and without a doubt I need to be with my family immediately. I appreciate your understanding that touring with the band that spends most of the year away from our families, there are some situations where we have to drop everything and be with them."
The post stated that refunds will be available to anyone who purchased a ticket and that the band come back to Ireland in the future.
"We are so sorry we can't make these shows happen. We have all been looking forward to them for so long and we're truly heartbroken all around," the post added.
The band recently played a run of North American shows, and are due to perform at Reading and Leads Festival on August 22 and 23.
