Madonna and Sienna Spiro debut in top 10 of Irish albums chart

Madonna’s Confessions II and Sienna Spiro’s Visitor have placed in the top 10 of the Irish albums chart, with Madonna’s album at No. 2 and Sienna Spiro’s at No. 6.

Olivia Rodrigo remains at No.1 with her album you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love.

This marks Madonna’s fifteenth studio album. With four of her records having reached No. 1, she’s spent hundreds of weeks on the Irish albums chart. Her last album, Finally Enough Love, landed at No.2 on the charts in 2022.

EDM album Confessions II was released July 3. Written as a distraction to her struggles with family and work, the album is a sequel to Confessions on a Dance Floor (2005).

Like Confessions on a Dance Floor, it is structured as a continuous DJ mix and produced by English electronic musician, DJ and songwriter Stuart Price.

For Sienna Spiro, this is her first studio album and first time on the chart.

Spiro got her start in the music industry in 2021 when she began sharing viral singing videos on TikTok. She started releasing music in 2024, including her single ‘Maybe,’ which became her debut on the UK Singles Chart.

Released the same day as Madonna’s album, Visitor centers around love and loss and features her characteristic soul-style singing.

Spiro just played a show at 3Olympia Theatre May 13 and last month announced another date in Dublin scheduled for June 15, 2027.

“In the end, Visitor is a rousing debut that places Sienna Spiro in the pantheon of great English neo-soul artists,” wrote Hot Press on July 3 in a review of her debut album.
