London band Legss appeal for help recovering multiple instruments stolen in Dublin
Four Fender guitars were among the instruments stolen from Legss' van.
Following their debut Irish shows this weekend, London band Legss have revealed that multiple instruments were stolen from their van in Dublin.
"We’re all still in shock but wanted to post this to alert the good people of Dublin and Ireland to keep their eyes peeled for anything being sold online or in shops," the band wrote on social media.
As part of their first ever Irish tour – in support of their debut album, Unreal, released back in September – Legss played Belfast's Ulster Sports Club on Friday, and Dublin's Grand Social Ballroom on Saturday.
Four Fender guitars were among the instruments stolen from their van on Sunday morning.
"These instruments, some of which we were also lending off close friends, are worth much more than their value, having been with us since we started the band in 2018," Legss' post continues. "We have written, recorded and performed our entire output on these, and it’s heartbreaking to lose them.
"We are going through all the standard procedures of trying to retrieve what we can, but we also wanted to help raise awareness that this is happening, and if you’re a touring band, please take extra care when travelling through different cities."
In their post, the London band go on to thank "all the wonderful people" they met on their "first trip to the Emerald Isle", as well as the venues where they played, and their Irish support acts Careerist and KIPPAX.
