The four-piece folk rock group, which consists of Shannen Byrne, Michéal Smith, Daniel Montgomery and Keith Saul, really showcase their talent with a stand-out performance filled with uniquely alternative songs.
Starting with rock 'n' roll electric guitar, adding the warming tone of the ukulele and finally lead singer's Shannen Byrne's clear voice, the band create an enticing mix of genres.
The audience evidently appreciate it as they move, drinks in hand, to the easy-going harmonies. It soon makes for a fantastic atmosphere.
Kicking Bird clearly don't want to be your normal folk rock band. They want their own identity and style. The evidence is there that they are well on their way.
