Lee 'Scratch' Perry set for The Bowery
Regarded with awe throughout the music world, Lee “Scratch” Perry holds status as one of the most enduring and original reggae producers and artists of all time.
From his early days in Kingston through to his production of some Wailers classics, Perry’s innovative style marks him out as one of Reggaes true originals. He’s worked with everyone from The Skatalites to The Clash and he can be credited with pairing Peter Tosh with Bob Marley and The Wailers.
Also credited with the invention of DUB, Perry's groundbreaking use of sound effects, echo reverb and rewind added a new dimension to Reggae music.
Lee “the Upsetter” Perry is still going strong at the grand old age of 80, still touring Europe and beyond.
Tickets are available from ticketmaster.ie at a cost of €25 inc booking fee. They go on sale December 9.
