Korn
Korn finish off the night with a great combination of drums, guitar and bass leaving a single note ringing as they leave the stage
The curtain goes up. Everything’s there. Except Korn. “What’s this?” we ask. A screen. With a kid. He’s running. From what? A freak? A monster? His abusive father? You decide. He runs upstairs. Into a room. He’s freaking out. He blocks the door. He’s trapped.
Enter Korn. They open their stage with the first single from the new album, ‘Here To Stay’, and continue on to play some of the great crowd pleasers, ‘Freak On A Leash’, and ‘Falling Away From Me’, with the audience joining in on the vocals on ‘Blind’ and ‘A.D.I.D.A.S.’.
Korn frontman Jonathan Davis shows his attachment to the Emerald Isle with a backwards Irish flag. Close enough. His emotions come to the fore as he whispers “Daddy, Daddy, are you cryin’ now?” Munky’s and Head’s guitar talents show in ‘Make Me Bad’ as well as the classics ‘Faget’ and ‘Blind’.
As the set finishes, shouts of “WE WANT KORN!” dominate. Until Jonathan Davis returns in a kilt! Korn finish off the night with a great combination of drums, guitar and bass in “Got The Life’, leaving a single note ringing as they leave the stage.
