KONNO to release new single 'Dream Talks'
KONNO is set to play a sold-out gig in Tuam tonight
Galway artist KONNO will release his second single 'Dream Talks' on Thursday, May 29.
The track follows his debut single 'Meet Me Later,' which was released in late 2024 and was named RTÉ 2FM's Grassroots Track of the Week.
"Dream Talks is an anthem for anyone who's ever been fucked over," says the Indie-rocker on his upcoming release.
"Writing this song nearly killed me. I was dealing with a situation where I felt betrayed by a person I thought had my best interests at heart. There were lots of anxious nights but looking back at it now, I'm proud of how I handled everything. It was cathartic to get that all out in the new record," he says.
The release marks the next step in KONNO’s transition from behind-the-scenes collaborator - having previously worked with RACHEL and supported the Saw Doctors - to solo performer.
KONNO is set to play a sold-out show at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Tuam tonight, May 23.
He is currently working on a five-track debut EP.
A music video for 'Dream Talks', filmed on Silverstrand Beach will also premiere on May 29. You can watch the music video when it comes out here.
