Kojey Radical announces first full-length album Reason to Smile
"In the past I never felt confident enough in myself to call any of my works ALBUMS... I am ready now,” Kojey Radical explains.
Hip-hop rising star Kojey Radical has announced the release of his debut LP Reason to Smile.
The London-native has released four short EPs since his debut, but the upcoming 15-track record will mark the rapper's first full-length project. Kojey released his first EP Dear Daisy: Opium in 2014, right after graduating from university.
“This is the first time I’ve done it to the scale and ambition of what I speak," the rapper explains. "Previously it’s been ‘I’m warming, I’m warming, I’m warming up.’ But I’m warm now—put me in the game.”
Over the years, the rapper has developed a reputation for speaking out about several sensitive topics - ranging from socio-political issues to the African diaspora. In 2018, he was nominated for Best Newcomer at the MOBO awards.
I still can’t believe I’m saying this, but… My debut ALBUM “Reason To Smile” is available to pre-order right now! And will be officially released MARCH 4TH 2022. https://t.co/WT679Fo0Z6 pic.twitter.com/lduhfI8y3R
