Kodaline collect their third Number 1 on the Official Irish Albums Chart
Congratulations to Hot Press cover stars Kodaline who have earned their third Irish Albums No.1, with as many albums under their belt.
New album Politics of Living romped to the top of the charts with nearly double the sales of its nearest rival, Rod Stewart’s Blood Red Roses, at Number 2.
Kodaline’s first chart-topper was debut album In A Perfect World in 2012, followed by sophomore album Coming Up For Air hitting Number 1 in 2015. Politics of Living has already spawned the Top 50 singles Brother and Follow Your Fire.
Kodaline told OfficialCharts.com/Ireland: “We just want to thank you guys in Ireland so much for making Politics of Living Number 1. It means the world to us. Youse are all legends!”
The band talk about their newest album in the latest issue of Hot Press, which you can by below.
Elsewhere on the charts, Eminem's newest album Kamikaze slips down to No.3, Lil Wayne's Tha Carter V enters in at No. 5, and Cher's cover album Dancing Queen beats the odds and edges into the top 10.
