KNEECAP say new album is coming this year
Their last LP, Fine Art, was released in 2024.
KNEECAP have said they will release a new album this year.
The hip-hop trio took to social media to tease the plans, promising fans that the new year would have "big things" in store, additionally emphasising that nothing is more important than "supporting each other" and "taking action for Palestine".
These plans follow news that the previously dropped terror charges against Mo Chara are being appealed by the British government. The Magistrates Court originally threw out the charges in September, with the case now set to be heard at the High Court of Justice in London on January 14.
KNEECAP released their sophomore album Fine Art in 2024, and released latest singles 'Sayonara' and 'No Comment' featuring Sub Focus, this past Autumn. Their self-titled 2024 film received critical acclaim, earning them a British Independent Film Award for Best Original Music, as well as being shortlisted by the Oscar's for Best Original Song.
Earlier this week, the Belfast group performed their first major gigs in Japan, performing at the Rockin' On Sonic festival, as well as a show in Tokyo. They are set to return to the Reading and Leeds festival this summer, along with performances at Primavera and All Together Now.
