Johnny Bourke and Saige share 'Be Someone'
"Me and Johnny go years back, long before songwriting, so it was so good to sing on this," said Saige.
Burgeoning songwriter and producer Johnny Bourke, a past performer on the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions has returned with a brand new release. Bourke's fresh new sound comes in the form of ‘Be Someone’, featuring rising Irish alt-pop artist Saige (also a Lockdown Sessions alum).
The pop-funk offering is bursting with a feel-good, radio-ready nature and dynamic energy. Johnny and Saige's silky vocals layer seamlessly above a groove-laden rhythm, with funk-fuelled synths, a punchy bass line, and a standout guitar lick. “The song is about embracing your relationship and being fully committed, to love unconditionally and not let go,” says the young singer-songwriter.
'Be Someone’ is the perfect pre-summer anthem, sure to serve as a taster of what is to come for Johnny Bourke.
