"This last 2 months have been so amazing, and having this go on along side it on the sideline’s has given me the most incredible perspective," she wrote. "BUT… Your girl needs a hug."
Jessie J has announced an early breast cancer diagnosis.
The 37-year-old singer revealed the diagnosis on Instagram earlier today. She plans on having surgery this month following her performance at Capital’s Summertime Ball in London.
“Before ‘No Secrets’ came out, I was diagnosed with early breast cancer,” she said. “I’m highlighting the word ‘early.’ Cancer sucks in any form, but I'm holding on to the word ‘early.’”
The UK artist, alternatively known as Jessica Cornish, revealed her diagnosis to help process it and help others going through something similar.
"I just wanted to be open and share it," she said. "One, because, selfishly, I do not talk about it enough. I'm not processing it because I'm working so hard. I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories. I'm an open book.

"It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much similar and worse - that's the bit that kills me."
Rita Ora responded to the announcement post, writing, "Your literally my favourite person and I’m praying for you...my mother had it and I know the surgery and any treatment on this matter is mentally tough so I’m here for you."
"It's a very dramatic way to get a boob job," Cornish joked.
