Wonder Woman plot synopsis finally revealed

In a Comic-Con press release, Warner Brothers revealed the first plot synopsis for upcoming superhero movie Wonder Woman:

"Wonder Woman hits movie theaters around the world next summer when Gal Gadot returns as the title character in the epic action adventure from director Patty Jenkins. Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny."

The cast and crew of Wonder Woman will be featured during the Warner Bros panel in Hall H at Comic-Con on Saturday, July 23.

The cast includes Connie Nielsen, House of Cards' Robin Wright, Harry Potter's David Thewlis, Ewen Bremner of Trainspotting, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya and Saïd Taghmaoui. The screenplay was written by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns. This will be Heinberg's first film.

The movie is set to be released on June 2, 2017.
