Hot shots 2004: Redtwelve
If 2003 was the year when the world rediscovered how to rock then bands like Redtwelve are set to reap the rewards.
Bursting out of Dundalk with an attitude as fiery as their music, the band are one of a number to benefit from the increasingly strong national live scene, building up audiences and relationships with other bands that don’t rely on playing Dublin every other week.
First catching the eye in April with their debut ‘Calling’ single, the band went on to record a session for Dave Fanning and were one of the highlights of the IMRO showcase tour. A fusion of intense, raw music and Ciaran Boylan’s stunning vocals, Redtwelve are further proof that the need to look elsewhere for quality rock bands has evaporated.
