Hot Press Track of the Day: The Burma, 'Out In The Heat'
The latest offering from the Cork indie band
Today's Track of the Day goes to Cork indie band The Burma with 'Out in the Heat'. Ironic, given the fact that we're starting to come out of the heat into a somewhat more manageable temperature this week.
No stranger to Hot Press admiration, The Burma released their debut EP Her Eyes On Horizons in June 2017 and were previously featured as our Track of the Day for single 'Sucker For Stars'.
Following a successful Irish tour last year, the Corkonian rockers have returned to pull another one out the bag with this tune.
With Smiths-styled guitar riffs and an infectious chorus, the song wouldn't feel out of place at a Californian beach party nor at a singalong in a British boozer.
'Out In The Heat' is kind of what we'd imagine a collaboration between Wheatus and the Arctic Monkeys to sound like.
The Burma's next single, 'Quicksand', is set for release in September and the band are due to embark on another tour.
