Hot Press Track of the Day: J Colleran 'Freesia i'
J Colleran's single 'Freesia i' is a meditative and ambient soundscape, brimming with soft synths and seamless production.
The Irish producer just released his new debut album Gardenia and treated fans to a new taster of what they can expect.
Beginning with soft android-like taps, the song gently eases into a pensive and haunting melody that brings its listener into a blissful wilderness.
Accompanied with a video that depicts chambers and long corridors filled with flashing neon lights, the project comes together in creating a dreamlike state for its audience. The images were collected with the help of Colleran's friend, Christopher Gray, and consist of the work done by lafur Eliasson, Larry Bell and John Register.
Gray spoke about the collaboration saying how they wanted "to create a series of connected rooms using real world limitations whilst controlling the lighting and haze in such a way which would be almost impossible within that physical space."
