Hot Press Track of the Day: Saint Sister 'You Never Call'
Saint Sister's breathy vocals and light pop synths come together to create a heartbreaking ballad about the end of a romance.
Fusing together elements of Florence and the Machine and Enya, the Sister's 'You Never Call' appeals to the fancies of an old lover, begging them to return, to reignite the flame, to even just remember them.
The use of lyrics "do you imagine me from time to time?" fits in well with the track, elevating the illusive and dreamlike soundscape.
The unique use of voice and sound feels so Irish - it conjures up the image of lost spirits on marshlands, providing the listener with a memory that they weren't there for, but now feel a part of.
Recently named the 'Best Irish Band' by the Irish Times, Saint Sister are continuing to impress with their incredibly unique music.
