Hot For 2019 Irish Acts: Blackfish Collective
Blackfish Collective’s origin story is like something from the pen of the late great Stan Lee. These misfits and self described “weird kids” decided to create their own world. Based in Dublin and with roots in Nigeria, Angola and Zimbabwe, this genre-straddling act flirt with experimental hip hop and cerebral pop. “The rules are limitless, the dreams are infinite, so please do not waste a moment finding a box to put us in as you will be left sourly disappointed,” they warn. In short – the sky’s the limit.
HEAR: ‘Citta Bella’.
SEE: They play Sound House, Dublin on February 15.
